A "Culture of ADR" Can Drive down Healthcare Costs

Interest in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has increased substantially in recent years because the result of using ADR is reduced litigation expense, at no cost to the organization's core mission of providing high-quality healthcare.

A "Culture of ADR" includes resolving all disputes—patient billing disputes, medical malpractice claims, and payor-provider disputes—through mediation and arbitration. This means that all levels of staff, decision-makers and patients should be made aware of how ADR works, the tremendous advantages it brings, and how it can be implemented.
