Working with organizations such as The Center for African Peace and Conflict Resolution and others, Yamshon has helped the justice systems in the countries of Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guatemala, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Russia, Senegal and the United States. Sponsors have included The World Bank, The State Department and The United States Institute for Peace. In 2005, by request of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Mr. Yamshon created an ADR agency in The Gambia in West Africa. "As in many other countries, the court system in The Gambia was fraught with delay, exacerbated by over crowded dockets and a shortage of judges," reads Daniel Yamshon's website.ADR can be a first, and often final, step in the dispute resolution process. A Sacramento, California resident, Daniel Yamshon is a certified mediator, arbitrator and legal professional with 34 years of legal experience. He has been published twice in the Harvard Negotiation Law Review alongside his wife Ellen Yamshon, who is also is an advocate for alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Yamshon has served as a judge for National Arbitration Competition, co-sponsored by the American Bar Association Law Student Division and the National Arbitration Forum.
Mr. Yamshon is an active member of many arbitration and mediation panels, including that of the National Arbitration Forum.
