By way of an affiliation with the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution and a sponsorship from JAMS ADR, Resolution Systems Institute (RSI) in Chicago is now putting out Court ADR Connection. The monthly e-newsletter, much like the National Arbitration Forum's ADR Law & Policy Update, covers court rulings related to arbitration and mediation. The new ADR resource will also highlight recently published research on court-annexed ADR.
Check out the September issue for information on court rulings in New York and California addressing confidentiality in mediation, as well as new mediator qualification guidelines recently adopted in New York.
RSI’s mission, to "encourage effective & efficient use of court-related alternative dispute resolution", is advanced with the new newsletter, as well as the development of a website. CourtADR.org is a resource tool containing instruction on developing and evaluating programs, sample court ADR rules, sample and model court forms, a comprehensive guide to court ADR in Illinois, statutes and court rules regarding ADR from around the United States, and links to every state court ADR office.
