Holiday ADR Reading List

The National Arbitration Forum Blog has compiled a list of recommended resources on alternative dispute resolution methods such as arbitration and mediation… just in case you have a little extra reading time over the upcoming week.

Association for International Arbitration's InTouch e-newsletter. The December and January issues contain articles related to international arbitration and mediation, such as Preview of Maxim's 'International Arbitration: Systematic Guide to Transglobal Arbitration' and Mediation in Psychological Harassment Disputes.

ADR Blog Directories. Search the World Directory of ADR Blogs to find news and ideas about mediation, conflict resolution, and innovations in law and justice. Or, peruse the alternative dispute resolution section of ABA Journal’s Blawg Directory. Either way, you'll find your way to the best in the ADR blogosphere.

The ADR case law archives. This online database, that contains nearly 2,500 summaries of ADR-related cases that have appeared in the ADR Law & Policy Update and the FORUM's "Today in ADR" online column over the past two years, is available for free on the National Arbitration Forum website. And, here’s a quick navigation how-to, to maximize your time in the archive.

Global Arbitration Review. Sponsored by the International Journal of Public and Private Arbitration, the newsfeed and daily newsletter summarize the latest in international arbitration news, including Peru Wins ICSID Contract Claim and Madrid Introduces New Arbitration Rules.

LEADR's Update e-newsletter. The December edition of Update points you to great ADR articles like Geoff Sharp’s Five Lessons I Have Learnt (And Should Have Known Already) and Harvard Law’s Junctions on the ADR spectrum.

The National Arbitration Forum's ADR Law & Policy Update. Read up on legislation, regulation, and federal and state litigation related to arbitration, including the recent New Jersey case in which the federal court ruled that the Federal Arbitration Act preempts a rule against class waivers in arbitration agreements. Check out the latest editions of the ADR LPU newsletter (December 4th, December 11th, December 18th).

Enjoy, and Happy Holidays from the National Arbitration Forum!

I really appreciate your support -- thanks as always for all your invaluable contributions to the field of ADR and to the ADR blogosphere!

Best wishes,
Diane
