Supreme Court Currently Hearing Oral Arguments in Arbitration Case

This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments in 14 Penn Plaza LLC v. Pyett, an arbitration case which raises the issue of whether an arbitration clause in a collective bargaining agreement (CBA) may require a union member to arbitrate a statutory discrimination claim (i.e., a claim unrelated to the CBA).
