The Willem C. Vis Moot International Commercial Arbitration Pre-Moot competition came to a close just two days ago in Chicago. Law students from Hamline University School of Law placed first, according to the University's website. Next stop for the advancing teams will be the related competitions in Hong Kong and Vienna. The competition, or "moot", is designed to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for resolution of international business disputes.Good luck to the many participants of the 2009 "Willem C. Vis Moot" International Commercial Arbitration competition!

Pre-moots do not advance anyone to the Vis competition in either Vienna or Hong Kong. Those competitions are open to all.
